Protein Swap | Sausage Meat Fajitas
with Lime Sour Cream
Ready for the fastest fajitas in town? After 15 minutes of cooking, your three amigos (spiced ground sausage meat, green pepper and red onions) will be ready to board warm tortillas. There's time on even the busiest evening for a rewarding Mexican meal.
We will send you:
- 250g Canadian-raised mild Italian pork sausage meat
- 2 Green peppers
- 50g Sliced red onions
- 43ml Sour cream
- 4 Wheat flour tortillas
- 11g Mexican Moments spices (chili powder, sugar, garlic, paprika, tapioca starch, coriander seeds, salt, black pepper, cumin, onion, oregano, citric acid, cellulose, lime oil)
- 15ml Lime juice

Preparation
Cook the beef & vegetables
- Halve, core and slice the green peppers lengthwise.
- In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.
- Add the beef*, green peppers, onions, ⅔ of the lime juice and 2 tbsp water (double for 4 portions); season with the spices and S&P.
- Cook, breaking up the meat, 4 to 6 min., until cooked through.
- Transfer to a bowl. Wipe out and reserve the pan.
Warm the tortillas
- Meanwhile, heat a medium dry pan on medium.
- Working in batches, add the tortillas and toast, 30 sec. to 1 min. per side, until lightly browned.
Make the lime sour cream
- In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, remaining lime juice, 1 tbsp water (double for 4 portions) and S&P.
Plate your dish
- Divide the tortillas between your plates.
- Top with the beef and vegetables.
- Drizzle with the lime sour cream. Bon appétit!
