Each bite of these juicy burgers takes you deep into Italian territory. Beef patties—certified organic, so they’re better for you and the environment—sizzle on the barbecue with porchetta-inspired spices (fennel, rosemary and a touch of chili). Grilled veggies, sprinkled with white balsamic, slip into buns with a layer of seasoned mayo.

  • 2 Eggplants
  • 1 Sweet pepper
  • 15ml Minced garlic
  • 30ml Mayonnaise
  • 30ml White balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Artisan hamburger buns
  • 10g Italian Links spices (salt, garlic, black pepper, fennel, rosemary, coriander, chili, sunflower oil)

Mise en place
Heat the BBQ on high, making sure to oil the grill first.  Cut the eggplants crosswise into ½ inch pieces. Halve, core and quarter the sweet pepper lengthwise. In a large bowl, combine the eggplants, sweet pepper, a drizzle of oil, ½ the garlic and S&P. In a small bowl, combine the mayo, a pinch of the spices and S&P.

Prepare the patties
In a second large bowl, combine the beef, remaining garlic and spices, and S&P. Form into 2 patties (double for 4 portions).

Grill the vegetables & patties
Add the patties* to the BBQ and grill, 3 to 5 min. per side, until cooked through. Add the vegetables to the BBQ and grill, turning occasionally, 6 to 8 min., until browned and tender. Transfer to a plate and drizzle the vegetables with the vinegar.

Grill the buns
Add the buns, cut-sides down, to the BBQ and grill, 1 to 2 min., until warmed through.

Plate your dish
Divide the bun bottoms between your plates. Top each bun bottom with the mayo, a patty, a spoonful of the vegetables and a bun top. Serve the remaining vegetables on the side. Bon appétit!
