Caesar reigns among classic salads, and a chicken-topped Caesar is classic plus. And when that chicken—certified organic, so it’s better for you and the environment—is sizzled on a hot grate with lotsa ranch seasonings, it’s plus plus! The other components are soft and crunchy with grilled pretzel bun croutons and morsels of celery.

We will send you:

  • 2 Organic chicken breasts (raised without antibiotics by Canadian farmers)
  • 2 Celery stalks
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 Head of curly leaf lettuce
  • 60ml Caesar vinaigrette
  • 1 Pretzel bun
  • 6g Back at the Ranch spices (chives, parsley, mustard, garlic, onion, brown sugar, kosher salt)

Preparation

Grill the chicken

  • Heat the BBQ on high, making sure to oil the grill first.

  • Pat the chicken* dry and drizzle with oil; season with the spices and S&P.

  • Add to the BBQ and grill, 6 to 8 min. per side, until cooked through.

  • Transfer to a cutting board and let rest before slicing.

  • Meanwhile, roughly chop the lettuce.

  • Thinly slice the celery crosswise.

  • In a large bowl, combine the vinaigrette, 1 tbsp water (double for 4 portions) and S&P.

Make the croutons

  • Brush the cut-sides of the bun with a drizzle of oil.

  • Add to the BBQ and grill, 2 to 3 min. per side, until warm and beginning to brown.

  • Transfer to a cutting board and rub with the garlic clove.

  • Once cool enough, tear the bun into bite-size pieces.

Make the salad & serve

  • To the bowl of vinaigrette, add the lettuce, celery and croutons; toss well.

  • Divide the salad between your plates.

  • Top with the chicken. Bon appétit!
