Preparation

Sauté the green beans
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly oil the basket. Remove the stem ends of the green beans. Mince the garlic. In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high. Add the green beans, ⅔ of the garlic and ⅔ of the spices. Sauté, 2 to 3 min., until beginning to soften. Add 1 tbsp water (double for 4 portions) and S&P. Sauté, partially covered, 1 to 2 min., until crisp-tender. Transfer to a large bowl and add the vinegar; toss well. Reserve the pan.

Prepare & start the patties
In a medium bowl, combine the beef and S&P. Form into 2 patties (double for 4 portions). Place in the air fryer basket and fry, 6 min., until partially cooked.

Make the sauce
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, remaining garlic and spices, and S&P.

Finish the patties
Flip the patties* and top with as much sauce as you’d like and the cheese. Fry, 2 to 3 min., until cooked through and the cheese has melted.

Toast the buns
Meanwhile, in the reserved pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium. Add the buns, cut-sides down, and toast, 1 to 2 min., until warmed through and beginning to brown.

Plate your dish
Divide the bun bottoms between your plates. Top each bun bottom with a patty and a bun top. Serve the green beans on the side. Bon appétit!
*Health Canada recommends cooking ground beef to a minimum internal temperature of 71°C.
