When Balkan ćevapi meet smoky Spanish ground beef meat, it’s a match made in sausage heaven. The hand-formed patties snuggle up with chunks of potatoes, cherry tomatoes and chopped fresh oregano for a homey, hearty meal. Bonus: just one baking dish to clean.

- 250g Canadian-raised lean ground beef
- 450g Baby potatoes
- 6g Oregano
- 140g Cherry tomatoes
- 50g Sliced red onions
- 15ml Minced garlic
- 20g Panko
- 60g Feta

Preparation
Start the vegetables
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Medium-dice the potatoes.
- In a large baking dish, toss with a drizzle of oil and S&P.
- Roast, 10 min., until browned and partially cooked.
Prepare the ćevapi & vegetables
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the chorizo, panko, garlic and 1 egg (double for 4 portions).
- Form** into 8 oval patties** (double for 4 portions).
- Pick the oregano leaves off the stems; finely chop the leaves.
- In a small bowl, combine the tomatoes, onions, oregano, a drizzle of oil and S&P.
Finish the vegetables & bake the ćevapi
- When the potatoes are partially cooked, stir and add the ćevapi, tomatoes and onions.
- Roast, stirring halfway, 12 to 14 min., until the ćevapi* are cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
Plate your dish
- Divide the vegetables and ćevapi between your plates.
- Garnish with the cheese (crumble if desired). Bon appétit!
