Count on these tacos to show up on time. With only 10 minutes, some pre-chopped ingredients and smart sauces, you’ll craft a marvellous midweek meal. Hoisin sauce gives browned ground beef—certified organic, so it’s better for you and the environment—a deeply savoury-sweet flavour profile, enhanced by a sesame-ginger spice mix. The slaw is a cinch to slap together, from carrot matchsticks, daikon and shaved Brussels sprouts. A splash of wafu and a scattering of crunchy peanuts come in to complete the Asian sensations.

Cook & coat the beef
Thinly slice the scallions crosswise, separating the white bottoms and green tops. In a medium pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high. Add the beef*; season with ¾ of the spices and S&P. Cook, breaking up the meat, 4 to 6 min., until cooked through. Add the hoisin and white bottoms of the scallions. Cook, stirring frequently, 1 to 2 min., until coated.

Warm the tortillas
Meanwhile, wrap the tortillas in a slightly dampened paper towel. On a plate, microwave, in 10 sec. increments, until warm.
